Quilloer
Terms of use
Last updated 4 November 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Quilloer (quilloer.com, “we”) when you use the site. By using it, or by creating an account, you agree to them, to the code of conduct, and to how we handle information as the privacy policy describes.
Your account
- You must be at least 13, or the age your country sets for agreeing to this yourself.
- Give your real email address, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if someone else gets into your account. You are responsible for what is done with it.
- One person, one account, unless we agree otherwise.
Your writing stays yours
You keep the rights to what you publish. So that the site can work, you give Quilloer permission, free of charge and worldwide, to store, show and send what you publish: on its pages, in its feeds, in the newsletters and digests that readers asked for, and in the previews other sites make of a shared link. This lasts while what you published is on Quilloer. When you delete it, it is removed from the site; copies already sent, such as emails, cannot be called back.
A story with co-writers belongs to them together, and each of them gives the same permission. You confirm that you have the right to publish what you post, including its images.
Writing effort
The editor counts how you write and shows the counts with your stories, as How writing effort is measured explains. The counts are a signal, not proof; they are not a judgement of you or your work.
Rules and moderation
What you publish must follow the code of conduct and the law. We may hide anything that does not, and suspend or close accounts that break the rules, with a notice saying why and a way to appeal. We are not obliged to review everything posted, and what members publish is theirs, not ours.
Using the site fairly
Do not try to break, overload or get around the site's security, collect members' information, or copy the site's content in bulk by automated means beyond what its feeds and search engines' crawling allow.
The site as it is
We work to keep Quilloer running and your writing safe, but the site is provided as it is, without promises that it will always be available or free of mistakes. Keep your own copy of anything that matters to you. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits rights the law gives you that cannot be limited.
Ending
You can stop using Quilloer at any time, and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. The parts of these terms that by their nature should last, such as the permission for copies already sent and the limits above, continue after an account is closed.
Changes
We may change these terms. The new version is posted here with its date, and if a change matters we tell you on the site before it applies. Using the site after that means you accept the new terms.
